Primary assignments include providing comprehensive and continuing health and medical care services for patients. The health care provider interprets and evaluates extremely difficult diagnostic radiologic procedures. Since TCIMC is designated as a referral center which receives many seriously ill and complex patients of all ages, the incumbent is often called upon to urgently evaluate many exams, including CT's, ultrasounds, and teleradiographs. Assignment also includes providing consultation to others to interpret radiologic findings and assist in determining the nature and the extent of diagnosis covering all body systems.
Incumbent must have completed of an approved 5 years residency or other accredited training in radiology or a combination of such training with appropriate experience to be board eligible. Certification by an American specialty board in radiology or 5 years of approved residency or other accredited training or combinations of such training with appropriate experience. The incumbent must be board certified or board eligible from the American Board of Radiology and General Radiology, have a M.D. degree, and a current permanent unrestricted state license.
